Also this year we went to the sea and this time to the allegedly most beautiful beach in the world! At least the users of Trip Advisor and World Travel have already confirmed this title several times. But which beach is it all about? Grace Bay Beach is located on the north-eastern coast of the Caribbean archipelago of Turks and Caicos. Here the white sandy beach stretches over a length of 18 kilometers next to the turquoise blue sea. About 1 km off the coast there is a coral reef that attracts divers and snorkelers from all over the world. The Turks and Caicos Islands are located about 50 kilometers southeast of the Bahamas and have only a little more than 31,000 inhabitants. The head of state is Queen Elizabeth II, because the Caribbean Islands are a British overseas territory. Nevertheless, an identity card is not enough to visit the island as a German and not because of the upcoming Brexit. And also the British Pound is not the official currency but the US Dollar.
